The Naked truth!

Hello Child of God,

Greetings from LYLAS 4 Life Ministries, “A modern day ministry, delivering the word of God through technology to unite, empower, and uplift sistahs in Christ.” In addition to your weekly TextScriptz, I send you God’s love, peace, and blessings.

The other day my mother and I were in the car waiting on my niece to come out of a restaurant. While sitting in the parking lot of a corner store, I witnessed a drug transaction. Considering the fact that I grew up in a drug infested neighborhood this was not a new sight for me. However, the drug dealer’s method for dealing drugs caused me to ponder a little bit. He basically stood next to a garbage can where he would hide the drugs inside of an empty cigarette box. Once the drug deal was complete, he tossed the “empty” cigarette box back in the garbage can. The drug dealer was clever in his own mind, but someone is always watching! Point and case, I saw the entire thing while waiting on my niece to order some tacos!

As we drove off I thought to myself, “He sure is lucky, I’m not the police because he would be cold busted!” Then I started thinking about the reality that someone is always watching you and I. More importantly, GOD is always watching us. Like the drug dealer you and I have done things that we try to hide from others in our own little clever way. Unlike the drug dealer, we might be wise enough not to commit that sin in broad day light, but the reality is that GOD sees everything rather it’s done at day or night! “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13).

Sistah, we can lie to others, we can lie to ourselves, we can put on a façade and pretend all day long, BUT we cannot deceive God. He knows everything and sees everything. Therefore, let us be wise in our transactions because in the end we will have to account for our actions to our all- knowing Father God in Heaven. There’s no sense to cover anything up from HIM because he truly knows the naked truth!

God, I am a sinner and I know I do not deserve your grace or mercy. Still, I trust you and I believe that you sent your son to earth and that he died and rose again for my sins. I thank you Lord for the personal gift of salvation. Amen.
